FAQ

Where are you registered?

→ Your presence is gift enough. We look forward to seeing you.

Can I bring my kids?

→ We would love for you and your kids to join us Friday afternoon for our dessert bar. For our Saturday celebration, let us know if you need help arranging a babysitter.

What is the attire?

→ Casual attire permitted. Dressy attire preferred. Cocktail attire admired.

Are there Halloween activities in Seattle that I should look into?

→ Yes. It’s a little early for details, but check here at end of September for some info.

Transportation – I have a lot of questions.

→ Did you read the Accommodations/Transportation page? Anyway, the hotel has overnight valet parking available but it’s a little pricey. For those who are flying in, we recommend taking the light rail from the airport for $3 (buy Link tickets from the ticket vending machine with cash or a credit card). It takes less than 40 minutes and trains arrive every 15 minutes during off-peak and much more frequently at times; more info here. If you are driving to Seattle, there’s a great parking garage nearby that allows in and out as long as you pay in advance – info here. Price is $32 for 24 hours. As far as getting from the hotel / downtown area to the event on Saturday, we recommend Uber for convenience but you can absolutely walk, bus, or explore your favorite method of transportation. If you choose to walk, just be aware that it’s 1.4 miles and much of that is uphill.

Seattle. Marijuana is legal there, right?

→ Yes it is. If you are curious about it, this page breaks the details down pretty well, and this page has some official info as well.

Let’s talk food and drink Saturday night. What’s the deal?

→ You can expect sliders, grilled cheese sandwich wedges and all manner of hearty bites. Hosted bar includes whiskey/scotch/bourbon tastings so be sure to stay hydrated. Seattle is basically at sea level so you should survive as long as you make good choices.

What are all these Seattle neighborhoods and can you break them down?

→ There are a lot of them! This may the best reference I’ve seen: Seattle neighborhoods. For reference, the Sheraton is Downtown and the Zoe event space is on Capitol Hill.

Wait, isn’t there a time change that weekend?

→ No; it’s the following weekend (Sunday, November 5th at 2:00 AM).

Did you forget to put the time on the invite?

→ Yes. No one is perfect.
